Are You Better Off Today?

By Conor Friedersdorf

Senator Obama compares our economic situation today to the one when George W. Bush came into office. It’s rather devastating. Not that John McCain is to blame. Though he backed an expensive war in Iraq, he’s also one of the more fiscally conservative men in Washington DC. I’m not sure that matters, however, as the average voter is going to see him as having basically going along with the GOP agenda.
